The Imminent Arrival

The Pieces that hang far up above - in you, in me, in I, in We, in Us

These works are part of an ongoing, site-specific series, consisting of free, flowing, hanging tarp. By evoking a sense of calm and quiet hope amidst chaos, these installations become transformative pieces, like a shelter with holes, changing each time it is hung. They comment on displacement, belonging, and our collective trauma regarding the fear of what is to come. Yet there is comfort in the womb-like manner in which the material is hung, like a subtle space in this place-a place to belong, contemplate, be together, take part in the ritualistic acts that are part of a state of being-a transient home.
